A good fruity white with noteable citrus tones and distant mellow peachyness.

Fruity and aromatic
Sauvignon Blanc, Domaine Vedilhan - France 3.10 17.25
Piercing gooseberry aromas reminiscent of ripe cool-climate Sauvignon, coupled with crushed limes. Crisp and grassy not a million miles away from Pouilly Fumé.
Viognier, Ceps Du Sud - France 17.50
A good example of this succulent grape variety that thrives under the Mediterranean sun. Apricots on buttered toast with a touch of almond.
Torrontes, Urban - Argentina 18.95
Ripe pear and honey with a sweet candy floss and zesty finish.
Sauvignon Blanc, Riverstone - New Zealand 18.95
Archetypal Marlborough sauvignon with fresh grassey and nettley character brought together in a refreshing gooseberry manor.
Rich and full
Chardonnay, Runamok - Australia 17.00
Ripe tropical and citrus fruit character and hints of vanilla with a subtle approach to oak. A real Aussie through and through.
Riesling, Tamar Ridge - Tasmania 25.25
Complex dried apricot and orange zest with some spiciness. Well balanced honey and petrolly finish.

Wonderful rich petrolly aromatic wine with apples and lychees. A medium-dry, lightly spiced wine for grown-ups.

Lightly sparkling and beautifully elegant - this is fun wine for any time.
Graham Beck Brut - South Africa 22.95
A dry, elegant sparkling wine with a fine mousse leading to a smooth nutty finish.
Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut - à Epernay, France 39.95
Full, soft and creamy on the palate but nicely crisp with lovely supporting structure.
Pol Roger Reserve - France 50.00
This has a truly wide appeal and is perfect for lovers of exuberantly-styled champagnes (By Appointment to the Queen).

Delicious and fruity, rather like having a glass full of sparkling strawberries and cream.
Rosé
Zinfandal Rose, Wandering Bear - California 3.10 17.95
Strawberry sweetness with rasperry dryness. Refreshing juicyness make this a very enjoyable rosé.
Montepulciano D'Abruzzo Rosé, Solandia - Italy 3.10 18.25
A more medium rosé with simple stawberries and cream flavours and subtle acidity on the end.
Grenache, Manõn - France 3.20 18.95
Aromas of white flowers and peachy fruit flavours. A cool, refreshing dry rosé.
Dessert wine
Muscat de Rivesaltes (half bottle) - France 4.00 20.00
A very balanced sweet wine that is nevertheless fresh with touches of lemon and peach.
Royal Tokaji Aszu 5 Puttonyos (250ml bottle) - Hungary 14.95
This is a really intense honeyed mouthful with hints of ginger and orange marmalade. The bottle is small but enough for four (just).

A soft and fruity Italian with well ripened smooth tannins.
Soft and rounded
Merlot, Los Montanas - Chile 2.70 14.95
Lush Merlot in full cry, soft and smooth, with rich, soft tannins and long ripe fruit finish.
Rioja, Monte Haro - Spain 3.00 17.75
Soft and smooth, easy-dinking style with very fruity character: plummy and cherry fruit dominate.
Cotes du Rhone, Mas de Libian - France 23.00
A complex wine with deep bramble jammy flavours and elegant tannins.
Warm and spicy
Cabernet Sauvignon, La Delizia - Italy 2.70 14.95
A light and fruity red wine. Good tannins and intense bramble and peppery flavours. One of my all time favourites.
Zinfandel, Primitivo - Italy 17.25
A delicious alrounder. Simply on its own or with food this spicy little number could soon become a house favourite.
Shiraz, The Mill - Australia 3.20 18.50
Adelicate shiraz with plummy and spicy aromas. On the palate there is sweet fruits and mellow tannins.
Ripassa, Zenato - Italy 32.95
A great big Christmas cake of a wine, with rich, dark fruit and a marzipan nose.
Smooth and earthy
Tempranillo, Torre Abalde - Spain 17.25
A hint of soft perfume on the nose with a touch of sweetness amongst the fruit and vanilla.
Malbec, Tanguero - Argentina 17.95
Fruit driven and full flavoured. A really easy to drink red with satisfying smooth finish.
Dâo, Quinta do Correio - Portugal 23.50
A herby nose with slight smokiness delivering good rounded tannins and lots of berry fruit.
Cotes du Rhone, Chateau Les Amoureuses, 2005 - France 25.00
Medium bodied, well-fruited and served nicely by dark, cherry tanninand a sprinkle of pepper and spice.
Bordeaux, Pomerol, Christian Moueix - France 28.95
Long in the mouth, developing dark fleshy plum and coffee flavours. A class act from the man who makes Chateau Petrus, the most expensive wine in the world.
Fronsac, Chateau Bourieu La Valade - France 26.95
A great deal of charm in the glass, with a nose of red fruit. Elegant aftertaste with characteristic Fronsac tannins.
Light and fruity
Pinot Noir, Escale - France 18.60
Showed splendidly well in a recent wine tasting session. Really fruity and plummy, packed full of bramble jam with liquorice notes on the finish.
Claret, Duboscq - France 19.95
Classic Bordeaux which combines finesse with fruit and elegance and floral undertones.
Chianti, Sensi - Italy 19.95
Hints of silky cherry and pepper with body - Italian flair with finesse.
Valpolicello, Campolieti - Italy 22.95
The Corvina grape lends itself to a light coloured wine offering dark berry flavours with hints of bitter almond and raisins.
Chiroubles, Chateau de Raousset, Futs de Chéne - France 32.00
'Limitée a 1000 bouteilles' from 80 year old vines. To me this is really, really great wine to accompany almost any food.
Burgundy, Gevrey-Chambertin, Les Charmeuses Vieilles Vignes - France 36.00
Fruitily elegant and enchantingly juicy with a classic finish of rich wood.
Robust and full-bodied
Cabernet Franc, Solese - Sicily 18.95
Really fruity and jammy. Bramble jelly and liquorice dominate this powerful Sicilian red.
Pinotage, Saam Mountain - South Africa 18.25
Deep purple Pinotage with intense fruit, juicy tannins and a hint of vanilla - a very robust wine.
Carmenere, Rucahue Reserva - Chile 24.95
Smooth, smokey textures with a creamy balance and a soft tobacco finish.
Shiraz, Canonbah Bridge Drought Reserve - Australia 35.00
Intense flavours of velvety chocolate characteristics - an absolute dream.

A sumptuous, velvety red, characterised by black cherries, chocolate and caramalised fruit.utter indulgence.

Legendary small bottle of near perfection. Cigar box spice on the nose with intense flavours of red cherries and dark chocolate. .
